URL encoder and decoder
Prepare a text value for inclusion in a URL parameter or inspect an encoded component. Characters such as spaces and ampersands receive percent encoding. Encode the value you need rather than passing an entire address as one component.
How to use this tool
- Choose a file, drag it into the upload area, import a public file URL, or paste your text below the upload options.

Output and limitations
Encode or decode text for use inside a URL component.
Uses URL component encoding, not whole-URL encoding. Plus signs stay plus signs when decoding. Invalid percent sequences produce an error.
Where are my files processed?
Selected files are processed in your browser. Importing a URL uses the download service to retrieve the remote file.
What if processing fails?
Check the supported formats and file limits, then try a smaller file. Keep an original copy. A clear error message will explain an unsupported input or an unavailable processing service.
